Residents of Denkyira in the Ga South Municipality of Greater Accra are currently living in fear and panic as suspected land guards have allegedly butchered two residents in an attempt to assassinate the Chief Nii Teiko Tagoe.

According to the victims, the land guards numbering up to 50 surrounded their area in an attempt to assassinate the chief but they (victims) intervened to save the chief and the land guards inflicted cutlasses on them, Rainbow Radio’s Nana Yaw Asare reported.

The victims have sustained serious injuries on their hands, forehead and other parts of their bodies.

The Chief, Nii Teiko Tagoe has therefore appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu to as a matter of urgency provide them with personal to protect the lives of his household and subjects.

He told Nana Yaw Asare that the situation if not addressed may lead to serious crisis.
