Kasena-Nankana MCE visits colleagues involved in accident

Williams Aduum, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Kasena-Nankana Assembly has paid a visit to his four colleagues who were involved in an accident while travelling to the Upper West Region to participate in the launch of the Rearing for Food and Jobs programme by President Akufo Addo.

His four colleagues are the Municipal and District Chief Executives for the Nanumba North, Abdulai Yaqub, Mion-Mohammed Hashim, Gushiegu-Mohammed Musah and Zabzugu-Ahmed Iddi Adakwahall in the Northern Region, were caught up in a ghastly accident involving a Mercedes Benz saloon car, metres away from the Datoyili police barrier on Monday.

The saloon car, travelling from Accra to Tamale, according to reports, veered off the road and collided with the vehicle the government officials were using.

Disclosing the details of his visit in a telephone conversation with our reporter, Mr. Aduum, who visited the accident victims at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) where they were rushed to, said the victims are in a stable condition and that the medical staff were doing their best to help the remaining still on admission recuperate.

Mr. Aduum commended the leadership of the hospital and staff for their timely intervention in taking care of his injured colleagues.

He said: “I’m currently in Tamale where I have come to visit my colleagues who were involved in the Monday accident while travelling to join the president for the launch of the rearing for food and jobs programme in the upper west region. In fact, I’m here with the MCE for Savelugu and looking at things, I can say their condition have improved and everything is fine. The medical staff here have done a good job in taking care of their conditions and they deserve my commendations”.
