The New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya West, George Andah has said he does not regret questioning the whereabouts of his competitor and incumbent Member of Parliament, Hanna Tetteh’s husband.

The business mogul, who is known to be a fine gentleman shocked a section of the public when he openly dared the Foreign Affairs Minister to show Ghanaians who her husband is.

Addressing a mini rally in Bawjiase in the Central region, Mr Andah who showed his wife to the crowd, challenged the Foreign Affairs minister, who is contesting on the ticket of the governing National Democratic Congress, to show Ghanaians her husband too.

“I told you I will come with my wife and children and I came here with my wife and children, go and tell Hanna Tetteh that she should also do same, she should come and show her husband to you”.

He’s received huge public flak for his comments which some have described as ‘below the belt’, accusing him of being too personal in his polticking instead of campaigning on issues ahead of the elections.

However, speaking on Asempa FM Eko sii sen show on Friday, Mr George Andah shrugged the accusation saying he was compelled to respond to the negative comments about him being spewed by the NDC campaign team in the area to rundown his personality, hence he doesn’t feel sorry for his utterances.

“Why should I sit down and allow people to think that what you are saying about me is true. Why should I apologize for my comment, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with what I said. I was responding in a certain context…because they are doing certain things. When they claim I’m irresponsible, I’m telling them that I have a wife and I presented her before the constituents, it is simply that.”
