Ghanaian actress Vivian Jill has called on the government and opinion leaders to concentrate on the rural areas more, especially in the education sector.

She mentioned that most of the rural areas do not have the luxury of such facilities to make their lives better.

The beautiful mother-of-two told Nana Romeo Welewele on 2 Jun 2020 on Accra 100.5 FM’s mid-morning show, Ayekoo Ayekoo: “Everyone traces their roots to a certain village. Most of these rural areas are in a deplorable state. If each one of us sends help to where they’re coming from, the world will be a better place.”

She also revealed that she would premiere a television show, Single Parenting, to expose the ordeals that single parents, especially in the rural areas, go through.

The actress, also well-known for embarking on humanitarian projects, said that she had been touring Ghana, listening to heartbreaking stories and offering help within her capacity.

She added that she decided to film her activities in order to get help on a larger scale to give back to society, by offering support to poor and vulnerable single parents (mothers and fathers) and children, hence her new television show to be aired on RTV this and every Saturday.

Aside from her acting career and humanitarian roles, Vivian Jill is an entrepreneur who owns a restaurant, among other ventures.
