Council of Ga Rural Chiefs pledge support for Mahama

Ga rural chiefs have massively pledged their support for President John Mahama in appreciation of the massive infrastructure developments that are changing the phase of Accra.

The Chiefs are particularly grateful for his commitment that is not limited to the capital city but transforming he nation at large.

They also commended the President for his tolerance and bold leadership style in spite of the provocations by opponents and their accomplices.

The Ga Chiefs separately made the endorsements during courtesy calls on them by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who is campaigning for the NDC across the Greater Accra region.

At Damfa, the Chief of Otinibi , Nii Adjei Kweidzamansah IV, told the NDC campaign team led by Mr. Debrah, to the Abokobi- Madina Constituency, that they are fully aware of the massive projects and cannot afford to remain silent.

" Our wish is that he is retained to continue his good works. We know President Mahama. We know the NDC Government. We know what you have done for our people. And we know what you are capable of doing when the President gets his second term in office. As we say in our local parlance, you don't light a lamp to look into the face of someone you know with a view of identifying him in public. We know the capabilities of President Mahama and we will do what is proper and right for him to assume another term come December 7, " ....Nii Adjei Kweidzamansah the IV emphasised.

Other Chiefs who addressed the brief meeting sang similar praises.

In a brief presentation, MP for Madina, Alhaji Amadu Sorogo pledged to provide households with their individual prepaid meters. He also noted with concern attempts by some individuals in the constituency collecting money from poor residents with promises to provide them with meters.

He urged constituents in the area who have consistently voted massively for the NDC to proudly market the achievements of President Mahama and the NDC to win more votes come December 7.

The Chief of Staff’s campaign team in Accra include Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, Madam Faustina Nelson, Greater Accra regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo and his deputy, regional chairman of the NDC Ade Coker, former NDC youth Organizer, Ludwig Hlodze, NDC National Communication officer Solomon Nkansah as well as other national and regional executives of the party.
