Chaos at banquet hall as dignitaries file past late President Mills

News trickling in from the Banquet Hall, where the funeral ceremony of late president John Evans Atta Mills, is currently ongoing indicate that there is an uneasy calm at the premises.

Reports say some dignitaries including Members of Parliament, diplomats and other state officials, are increasingly getting frustrated, as they struggle to get access to file past the body, which has been laid in state in the main hall. Some dignitaries have been standing in the queue for close to two hours, the report said.

Our reporter says large crowds are building up at the main entrance of the hall, as they attempt to catch a glimpse and pay their last respect to the late president.

Meanwhile, former President John Agyekum Kuffour and former President Jerry John Rawlings filed past the body at exact 12: 15 local time.

Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, who was the first to file past the body reportedly, exited the hall after paying her last respect to her husband.**
