Social Commentator and former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has hinted that he will sooner or later retire from politics.

Allotey Jacobs annouced his 'political retirement' in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020.

The NDC stalwart, obviously unhappy about the turn of events in his party, says he is undergoing a long period of introspection to know his next journey in life.

The National Democratic Congress on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020 issued a statement suspending Allotey Jacobs from the party for showing signs of what it termed as ''persistent anti-party conduct''.

The party noted that their decision was invoked during a national executive meeting.

Although unperturbed by the party's decision he said "whom the gods have possessed, they have no ears to listen neither an eye to see" to mean no matter what he does, there are characters in the party who won't appreciate him or listen to good counse.

Allotey Jacobs noted that he will make his suspension count well.

"I will stay back, relax, after all so many years in politics and then to deliberate with myself as to whether I will retire from politics or whether I'll continue," he stressed.
