Obirepong Akwasi Amoh Kyeretwie I, the Abiremhene and Ayem Kotoku Gyasehene, has publicly expressed his and his elders' full readiness to embrace the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) proposed 24-hour market concept, going as far as to offer a substantial piece of land for its establishment in Abirem, Eastern Region.

This significant declaration was made during a visit by the NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, who was in the town as part of the second phase of his nationwide thank you tour.

Addressing the NDC Chairman, the revered chief articulated his community's preparedness and enthusiasm for the economic initiative.

"My elders and I are ready for the 24-hour market. I have a big land awaiting you, so come and make use of it," Obirepong Akwasi Amoh Kyeretwie I stated, highlighting his desire for tangible development and sustained economic activity within his traditional area.

The 24-hour economy concept has been a central pillar of the NDC's economic agenda, championed by its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

The party argues that a round-the-clock economic framework would significantly boost productivity, create numerous job opportunities, and stimulate growth across various sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
