The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) and its allies, Generational Youth Movement (GYM), Progressive Nationalist Forum (PNF), Labour unions, trade unions etc. wishes to inform Ghanaians of the ‘AHOKYERE’ demonstration on Wednesday, 26th January 2011.
The demonstration, which is aimed at protesting against the economic hardships that Ghanaians are going through and the recent fuel price rise, will start at exactly 6am at the Obra Spot, Nkrumah Circle, Accra and end at the Hearts Park, near the Cultural centre.
AFAG has completed all the necessary formalities with the police and hoping to have a peaceful demonstration. We hereby caution all Protestants not to wear the colours of any political party during the activity.
The demonstration starts at the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle then through the Nkrumah Avenue, to the National Theatre then we shall finally converge at the Cultural centre (Hearts Park) to present our message to government and the people of Ghana.
We wish all those coming from outside Accra a safe journey and respectfully call on Protestants to exercise the maximum patience during the protest.
