The Ashanti Regional chapter of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is hinting a demonstration against a member of the party and lawmaker for Assin North in the Central Region, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong for insulting Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as well as other party executives.

"We will have a peaceful demonstration on 30th this month to tell Kennedy Agyapong that he cannot insult people in the region", First Vice Regional Chairman, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire revealed

"We want to also tell the NPP national executives that we don't need Kennedy Agyapong's financial support at regional level", he stated in an interview with local reporter Kwabena Danso-Dapaah

In recent weeks, the maverick Assin North lawmaker has been on a warpath and verbally attacked some NPP members in the party from the Ashanti Region who have thrown their support to the investigative work of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas for exposing corruption in the country.

Kennedy Agyapong could not fathom why a NADMO coordinator and the First Vice Regional Chair will defend the ace investigator who he (Hon.Kennedy Agyapong) claims is corrupt and that has no moral right to investigate corrupt people, not to talk of exposing them.

"Foolishman like you, if your relative has suffered from the stupid works of corrupt Anas, you will not be there saying those things you are saying," he described Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire, leading member of the party in the region.

The latest to suffer from his verbal attack is MP for Suame in Kumasi and Majority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah asking him to "shut up" on issues of corruption.
