Education Ministry denies reports of plan to issue

DOUBLE TRACK TEACHERS APPEAL To GOVERNMENT OVER NON-PAYMENT OF SALARIES;

It would be recalled that the Ghana education service recruited some teachers on November last year. These teachers were to teach the double track students. Upon assumption of duty , barely four months now their salaries are not being paid by government.
The most worrying thing is that, some of these teachers were not posted to the place of their choice. For instance, some were posted from Ashanti Region to Greater Accra region, from Brong Ahafo region to Greater Accra and vice versa across the length and breadth of the country.
The challenge confronting most of them is accommodation and transportational cost which is making it difficult for their survival. About four months now, they have not even processed their biometric registration let alone being paid .This has become a major impediment to the work and making them less efficient. This is because they are unable to attend classes or school on regular basis ..

In fact, the most worrying aspect of it all, is the lack of Communication and information on the part of Ghana education service to them.
We are therefore appealing to the government, Ministry of education, and the Ghana Education service to do the needful.
we believe strongly in the competency of the government and hope that this issue will be treated with all the seriousness it deserves.

Double Track Teachers are starving......
