As a general rule of thumb, dialogue is always good. The caveat however, should be that our leaders must be sophisticated and have their eyes open. China, is becoming a colonail power with aspirations to military dominance. I always like to read source material before really commenting on the merits of an agreement. A barter agreement, such as we are being told has been signed to facilitate development MAY be good. The devil, as they say, is in the details. Like Okyere in this story 4i have a monumental skepticism of The Peoples Republic. China is heavy handed. We see their behaviour in the South and East China seas. Reaching an agreement or establishing a friendship with The Peoples Republic, is like having a python or boa constrictor for a friend. It's a hazardous proposition. The fact is that The Peoples Republic has made trillions of dollars and is beginning to feels it's oats, in a manner of speaking. Since they have the money, we have to figure out a way to deal with them - constrictor or not. Our leaders must think strategically. This is serious stuff.
