Ghana needs more female MPs – Israeli Ambassador

The Republic of Ghana like all competitive democratic practice is not a dictatorship nor a quota allotment, but a keenly contested ideas and policy roll out that wins a candidate to the office of parliament. We do have a hair stylist in parliament who defeated a well educated former MP, Baba Jamal. What about that? If women want to go to parliament, they must go through the mill and run like any one else. Am sure the Israeli ambassador will rather tell PM David Nathayaho to try his concept. May the best win and represent their constituents. Your argument is centered on emotions and not democratic ideas but gender. Ask Israel to try that. We put a woman at EC chair and she nearly turned the country upside down because she wanted to see her favorite, John the goat Manama o win. But God being so good, Charlotte Osei is gone and Ghana is whole and at peace with her self as a nation. She is gone, Charlotte is gone.
