Nonsense, can anyone tell me how much the government spends on the annual haj pilgrimage? Does anyone complain about that? Ghana is a Christian majority country and I personally do not see anything wrong with the government spending a little money on such an edifice to honor our creator. Those who claim the money should be spent on the poor and other programs, please remember that there will always be poor among us. We need to modernize our cities and have better architectural infrastructure which will identify and define our culture. It will be money well spent to accommodate our protector and savior, Jehovah Jireh. We shall be blessed as a nation if we do that. I'm all for it, after all it will be a national asset. Travel to Washington DC and there is a National Cathedral ( what's wrong with us building one as well?
