The National Nasara Coordinator of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kamal-Deen Abdulai has advised the youth and kingmakers of Dagbon not to allow politicians use them to fuel the Dagbon conflict.

According the NPP stalwart, who is seeking to become the party's next National Youth Organiser, the time has come for the youth of Dagbon to know that the only route to development is absolute peace.

Kamal-Deen pleaded with royals from both the Abudu and the Andani gates to let peace prevail and congratulated the youth for taking the bold step in leading the charge for peace.

The youth in Dagbon from both gates on Monday demonstrated together to call for peace and call for the funeral of their dead chiefs to be organised.

Contributing on the issue on TV3's current affairs analysis program New Day, the NPP National Youth Organiser hopeful said the move by the youth is a step in the right direction and called on all stakeholders involved in the matter to put all their differences together and forge ahead in unity.

On his part, Mr. Adam Mutawakilu, the NDC MP for Damongo Constituency admonished the youth not to allow themselves be used as tools for destruction going forward.

Heavy loss to Mother Ghana

Kamal-Deen, who seized the opportunity to comment on the sudden demise of ace Ghanaian broadcaster Kwadwo Asare Barfuor Acheampong popularly referred to as KABA, said the death of the Asempa Fm journalist is a 'heavy loss to mother Ghana'.

He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and the media fraternity as a whole.
