In the wealthy countries their MPs, congressmen/women and senators ride public transportation and their bikes to work. Why do our legislators need drivers? They ought to drive themselves, it seems we waste so much money on procuring cars for our leaders.
The MPs ought to mingle with their constituents so the see their problems. We need to find something better to put the energies of these drivers into so they can all earn a decent wage and living. What good is it just packed all day and waiting for an MP to close from work to drive him/her home?

These are the same people who have no qualms going to Western countries for loans where their counterparts use their own vehicles for their work. The only people who should have access to vehicles should be those in leadership positions, like the speaker of parliament and the minority leader.

GHC salary as an a driver of MP not great at all. Why do they do it. Even a taxi driver get more than this so called priviledge money.MP should pay this money or top it up to give them a round figure of 800 GHC each month.

They drive themselves, and even if they want personal drivers, it comes out from their own pocket. Sometimes it pains me to see such a great country like Ghana suffer because of corrupt politicians who only care about living a luxury life at the expense of the prosperity of the nation. I really hope boko Haram do me a favor and bomb the living day light out of the parliament when all the mps are present and purge them from the face of the earth.

They are voted into office to serve the people but end up either taking advantage of those they are supposed to serve or exploiting the system. Any wonder they will go to any lengths to get elected? The sad reality is that they are all there for what they can get. Helping to improve the lot of ordinary citizens is the last thing on their minds. They are a self-serving bunch and no nation ever progressed with people like that in leadership positions.
