Kick out corruption if you want to win power - Rawlings to NDC

Jerry Rawlings is predicting victory for the NDC come election 2020 only if top executives of the party took off the menace of hypocrisy and the abuse of power.

Making his thoughts known at the just ended NDC rally which was aimed to mark its 25th anniversary, Jerry Rawlings called for the party to ensure it stays united against its main contender, the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The 25th anniversary of the party saw key party members converge to explore the way forward for the party during its times in opposition.

On his part, former president John Mahama has also taken a swipe at the NDC administration describing the president’s administration as “incompetent”.

So far, it remains unknown if John Mahama will be standing for president come December 2020 as calls are being made for him to lead the party to regain power from the NPP.

Earlier at the June 4 anniversary, Jerry Rawlings chastised the NDC for what he described as the looming rate of corruption within the party – a development he has attached to the shocking and shameful loss of power in the just ended elections.
