The Mahama Government by far is the worse government we ever had since the advent of multi-party democracy.Apart from the issue of poor governance and mismanagement of the economy,fraudulent and criminal activities is very much associated with the Mahama Administration.It is almost like the country is being ruled by a group of gangsters rather than serious minded people with the capacity to transform our fortunes.The corruption network today in Ghana have become even more sophisticated involving a wide pool of people under the supervision of high profile public officials and government functionaries.It is abundantly clear that the incumbent government can't perform today and cannot perform in future.Why am i saying this?It is because the whole structure of governance under the Mahama Administration is centered around organized crime that allow few cronies and families to illegally amass excessive amount of money and wealth for no or little work done.The government will certainly not perform if decisions to key appointments in both government and public institutions is not based on merit and competence but rather cronyism and nepotism with the sole intent of perpetuating illegalities such as organize financial crimes and contract awards without procurement.This style of governance deprives the country of viable brains whose input would have been useful in transforming the country.This system of governance have left competent,incorruptible,dedicated hard working Ghanaians at the periphery with mediocrity and largely weak minds taking center stage in the management of the Country's affairs with the sole aim of illegally amassing wealth.This is why corruption is so widespread with impunity under cover in our public institutions today.This is why serious cases of exposed corruption are not tackled by way of investigation and possible prosecution.This is why one is instantly labelled anti-government and anti-mahama when one voice out against the rot in public institutions.We have heard the government taking credit for the myriad of exposed corruption solely by the effort of daring journalists.That is absolutely shocking because the government posture when it comes to issues of corruption and illegalities in public institutions clearly indicate the Mahama Administration condone and connive in corruption and notoriously good at covering same.In my observation,veil communist inferior tactics have been deliberately adapted by government to stifle discerning voices allowing the canker to fester to the benefit of inner circles of power.Rough tactics such as blackmail,slander,threats and malicious fabrications have been adapted by government to punish whistle blowers rather than investigate and punish perpetrators of corruption and illegalities in public institutions.Very corrupt and irresponsible high profile public officers running down public institutions cannot be touched because of ramifications to executive powers who are always quick to cover them.It is a known fact that the Mahama Government through a corrupt and defunct AG Department has suppressed numerous cases of horrendous corruption by top public officers bothering on gross human rights violation even in high courts to deny victims of justice and to protect them and avoid judgement debt in the process.Worse is the fact that government functionaries then find a way to ostracize victims of corruption through negative propaganda and character assassination.What is the point in callously dismissing somebody from work by claiming he is suffering a mental illness simply because he opposed callous corruption that led to the death of some one who could not pay an illegal fee of Gh.C50 for blood transfusion prior to written complaints about corruption to the presidency at Flagstaff House in that institution.These are the cases the Mahama Government tentatively cover through the AG Department to protect corrupt and irresponsible top public officers hurting its own integrity and image.Through negative propaganda and callous fabrication the unfortunate victim of the corruption canker is portrayed as a social pervert and outcast to justify insane corruption and illegalities in public institutions under the watch of government.I am scandalized by this stance of a so-called social democratic government that should naturally stand for social justice.I am particularly hurt having being a child of the PNDC Revolution necessitated by corruption at the time with a government in whose ideology i believe in deliberately and consciously adapting an ostrich posture and extremely allergic when it comes to the fight against corruption.It smacks of hypocrisy as it is also a stark betrayal of loyalists of the PNDC Revolution particularly for those roped in at a very tender age and religiously nurtured though its tenet of probity,accountability ,integrity and social justice.It appears we have been living in a fool's paradise with the spirit of patriotism and nationalism through the CDR and the Cadre Front because the impression we get today is that you can only be successful in Ghana as a young man mainly through corruption but not hard work.This is what is making many people believe in Nana Addo because they see him as an incorruptible person who will rapidly root out corruption and transform the fortunes of Ghana.In the opinion of many a single virus killing the country,thwarting development and bringing untold hardship to its people is the corruption canker.In the opinion of many, it will not be surprising and rightly so to see a huge crusade against corruption in Ghana just like Nigeria under President Buhari should Nana Addo get the nod come November 2016.In my opinion,this country will see rapid ascension in its development if there is serious political leadership, will and commitment to tackling corruption.Per my observation as an ordinary citizen,to say Ghana is endemic with corruption and illegalities allowing lazy ,idling hands to acquire copious disproportionate wealth mainly through same for little or no work done is an understatement.The few cases exposed is just the tip of the iceberg with much more suppressed by a government very reluctant,almost indifferent to the corruption canker.
