A couple of weeks ago, the CPP had a national congress to elect new executive members and what happened?
A former chairman of the party who had failed miserably in that same capacity in the past, was re-elected unopposed at age 72+ to become the current CPP Chairman. Is the CPP so bereft of substance in its membership that a 72-year-old man should stand unopposed for the position of Chairman of the party? I find this incredible. It tells me that all those who took it upon themselves to run the party for the last 20-years or so, have failed miserably to upgrade the quality and the substance of their membership. As is also evident, they failed to touch on the sympathies of Ghanaians to enroll greater membership and favorable electoral sympathy.
Thus, the CPP has been caught flat-footed between the devil and the deep blue sea, having to recycle dead wood and chaff to run an already desolate party.
Even worse-still, the critical and most vital position of General Secretary is now under a person who until the recent congress, was, as can be testified by all, a woeful failure as a communications director of the CPP.
I am sure that like myself, many Ghanaians are utterly dismayed that the CPP is helplessly unable to present itself as a marketable commodity in anyway near the manner that Kwame Nkrumah and others managed to accomplish against formidable odds. Todays CPP presents itself in the typical manner of the imperialist/capitalist agencies such as the NDC and the NPP. In short, the internal dynamics of the CPP is motivated by preferential disorganization, moral perversion, privilege, sleaze and sheer unbridled ineptitude.
Prof Akosa, be real. As a scientist and a Ghanaian, do you, looking at the present deteriorating conditions of this country, have sufficient faith to vote for the CPP?

You can not sit down and expect Kwame Nkrumah's name to win elections. Most of Kwame Nkrumah's supporters are dead. The ones left too are too old to campaign. The few who are left too are spokespersons for NDC or NPP
