A presenter at Accra-based Radio Gold Alhassan Suhuyini has announced he will contest the Tamale North seat of the NDC.

The NDC heads to the polls on November 7 to elect presidential and parliamentary candidates ahead of the 2016 general elections.

Below, a post on Facebook confirming his decision.

“He Who Doesn’t Know Medicine Defecates On It

“Today on my show I confirmed rumors and news publications that I will contest in the primaries of Tamale North to be the NDC Parliamentary Candidate in the 2016 elections when nominations open.

“The NDC lost the seat to an independent candidate in 2012 due to friction and disagreements between two main contenders who may both contest again in the upcoming primaries.

“To all I say, I’m in this race not to seek a reward from NDC faithfuls though in humility I believe I deserve one. I’m seeking an opportunity to use the network I have built over the years with decision makers in business, academia, cso, media, politics, etc. to serve more.

“I’m in this race not to just win an election though I believe I will win it. I’m in this to help more.

“Everything I do in this contest will not be about winning votes. It will be like, even before now, about solving problems, giving hope, touching hearts and uniting people all in the service of Allah.

“At the end of this contest my victory will not be in the number of votes counted but in the number of smiling faces, hopeful souls and problems solved.

“Time to “cease power!” in Tamale North
