Petitioners’ case useless; throw it out!

The infamous lawyer who once introduced himself as a friend of the court and filed an application for an "amicus curiae", Benoni Tony Amekudze, has pinned the ears of Nana Akufo-Addo to the back, averring that he would be glad if the Supreme Court throws out the election petition before them.

He advised the Supreme Court Judges not to trouble their heads about throwing out the petitioners' case if the first petitioner (Nana Akufo-Addo), has not given them a valid and reasonable excuse before jetting out of the country to seek medical attention.

Lawyer Amekudze strengthened his point by bringing to fore that, not long ago, when his Lordship Justice Yaonasu Kpegah initiated an action challenging the law certificate of Nana Akufo-Addo, the case was thrown out because Justice Kpegah refused to show up in court.

On this premise, he argued that if what is good for the goose is good for the gander, then the Supreme Court should do same to the petitioners challenging the legitimacy of President Mahama.

In an interview with Okay FM, Lawyer Benoni Amekudze also expressed concern about the health status of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, stating that he is worried details of his health has not been made public.

As a citizen of Ghana, Lawyer Amekudze opined that such vital news were to be made public for him and interested parties to know.

“All that we heard through the news was that he is in London for medical attention,” he worriedly said.
