No individual can unite NPP, there should be collective efforts - Oppong Nkrumah

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has said that unity in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot be achieved through an individual, but rather through collective efforts.

Reacting to the ongoing tensions between the party leadership and Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Oppong Nkrumah challenged the party's General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua’s promise to unify the NPP ahead of the 2028 Election.

Speaking on Prime Morning on Joy Prime, on April 9, 2025, Oppong Nkrumah said, "I don't think any single person can bring the party together. Anybody going around saying he is going to bring the party together should stop saying it.”

The MP stressed the need for a united front, regardless of personal difference among party members.

"All of us must understand that we have to collectively work together.

"In politics, you don't need to like one another or be friends to work together. We must understand that the success of political enterprise is our ability to come together and work together," he added.

He further urged members to focus on healing past wounds and embracing reforms, noting that these are crucial steps in revitalising the party’s strength and electoral appeal.

"We have to heal wounds, we have to reform as a party," he stated
