Late afternoon political talk show host of Accra-based Radio XYZ, Salifu Maase popularly called Mugabe has been challenged by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to name the persons plotting to kill Joy Fm’s investigative journalist, Mannasseh Azuri Awuni, MyNewsGh.com reports.

Mugabe who returns to the CID headquarters today March 13, 2019, was subjected to hours of grilling yesterday night and given the opportunity to listen to the tape in which he made those comments.

MyNewsGh.com sources at the CID Headquarters revealed that the broadcast journalist was asked in the company of his lawyer to name the persons he claimed were planning to murder Manasseh within eleven months.

It would be recalled that late last week, the pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) journalist who was once jailed after being found guilty of contempt of court, claimed there were plans within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to kill within eleven months; stating he was not a coward to run away from making public such plans.

Salifu Maase, aka Mugabe, said the NPP would kill him just like Ahmed Suale, the private investigator of ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who was gruesomely killed recently by some assailants.

Mugabe claimed he had been possessed by the ‘Holy Spirit.’

“The fake ones (prophets) can come out and say whatever they like but I’m speaking in the spiritual realm. Manasseh Awuni, I am speaking to your parents and I’m not speaking as Mugabe but the Holy Spirit is using me,” he claimed.

But sources at the CID Headquarters revealed that he was unable to name any person or persons behind the plot and returns later today to substantiate the claim or could be dragged before court for allegedly causing fear and panic.
