NPP women urged to intensify house-to-house campaign

Nkoranza (B/A), Nov. 27, GNA - Mrs. Beatrice Adjei, Women's Organiser of Nkoranza South constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the women's wing of the party to intensify house-to-house campaign to win more votes for the party on December 7. She said that the National Health Insurance Scheme, the free medical care for pregnant women, School Feeding Programme and Capitation Grant, and the provision of infrastructure and furniture in schools had lessened the burden of parents on the upkeep of their children and these were the success stories to be told about the NPP government. Mrs Adjei, who was speaking at the inauguration of a branch of NPP Women's wing at Nkoransafie, a suburb of Nkoranza, said that it was time the NPP women's wing educated women about the good policies of the NPP government.

She called on all women to reward the NPP by voting massively for the party so that it would continue with its good works. Mr. Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, Member of Parliament (MP), for the constituency, who is seeking re-election, commended the women for forming the association to promote the activities of the party. Mr. James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza South District Chief Executive, advised the women's wing to woo their spouses to rally behind the party.

Madam Agnes Adutwumwaa, chairperson of the wing, said that urged the electorate to vote and retain the MP to enable him to continue to with his good work.

Other executive members of the wing were Madam Rosina Adwoa Mansah, vice chairperson, Miss Dina Attaa Kusiwaa, secretary, Miss Yaa Gyapomaa, treasurer and Mr Adjei Mensah and Mr Tachie Djan as patrons.
