NPP more than a terrorist group - Kofi Adams

Kofi Adams Kofi Adams

National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams says the behavior of the undoubtedly the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is more than a terrorist group.

According to him, the opposition NPP has demonstrated it does not have any regard to rule of law within its party and thus will be disastrous to lead the country with such behavior it is exhibiting in the party.

Dr. Amoako Tuffuor on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show asserted that Paul Afoko’s threat to go to court after the National Council upheld the suspension of the NPP National Executive Committee (NEC) will not change the decision of the 70 Executives who upheld the suspension of NEC if even the court pronounce ruling in Afoko’s favor.

Commenting on Dr. Amoako Tuffuor’s assertion on the same platform, Kofi Adams indicated the position of Dr. Amoako Tuffuor shows the NPP doesn’t respect the law and with this mentality, the NPP does not fit to lead the country.

“Seriously, we are faced with more than a terrorist group because it is a terrorist group that do that. This is more than a terrorist behavior; if they believe in rule of law and Afoko says he is going to court after his suspension, then you knowing Afoko was suspended wrongly, you are saying that court ruling will change the decision of the 70 Executives,” he chided.

“So the NPP is telling us that, they don’t respect the law; once you use foul means to suspend someone and the competent court makes pronouncement in Afoko’s favor, they are saying they won’t work with it?” he asked.

Kofi Adams insisted this behavior of the NPP means that they won’t work with laid down procedure when they assume the Presidency; reiterating that this is a terrorist who behave this way as the NPP will curtail the right of Ghanaians if given the mandate.
