NPP Loyal Ladies save NaBCo stipend, nurse, teacher trainee 'allawa' to buy motorbikes for party

NPP Loyal Ladies, a volunteer group within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated some motorbikes to the party through the National Organiser, Mr Sammi Awuku.

At a ceremony to hand over the motorbikes, the group assured the party of its commitment to ensuring that the NPP emerges victorious in the 2020 elections.

The Captain of NPP Loyal Ladies UK, Rosemary Yaa Serwaa Cullis, indicated that the donation is to help the party conduct its campaign seamlessly in next year’s general polls.

“The NPP remains the only political party to have Ghana at heart”, Ms Cullis said, adding: “The policies of the NPP government are life-changing ones and that if the party continues to rule for many years, there would be accelerated growth and development in the country”.

Receiving the bikes on behalf of Mr Awuku, the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NPP, Mr Francis Adomako, and the Ahafo Regional Organiser, Mr Michael Osei Boateng (Pope), were full of praise for the Loyal Ladies.

They assured the group that the motorbikes would be put to good use so they can maximize its gains as the country goes into the 2020 elections.

Ms Florence Boatemaa, a Captain of NPP Loyal Ladies in the Greater Accra Region, explained that even though her ladies are not rich, they are making contributions from their teacher trainee and nurse trainee allowances, as well as the stipends they earn from the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) program, among others, to fund their group and also help resource their party.

Ms Boatemaa added that the group supported candidates in the recently-held district assembly elections as well as some constituency youth organisers of the NPP with footballs and jerseys.

“The 2020 elections are a must-win for the NPP and Ghana and we at NPP Loyal Ladies are prepared and ready to break our backs for that to happen”, she vouched.

Also present at the ceremony were Effe Grant, a Commander of NPP Loyal Ladies UK, and other members of the group from the Greater Accra Region.
