The New Patriotic Party(NPP) fears of launching its manifesto ahead of the NDC on account of the fact that their document could be plagiarised is baseless and a way of covering up the NPP’s lack of vision for the development of the country, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has said.

“They don’t have the interest of the nation at heart. Its very clear that they just want to taste power and have no vision for the nation. If the party is nationalistic in character it will not entertain any fears that some party somewhere will copy its manifesto it is putting out,” Mr. Asiedu Nketiah told Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM Monday.

He further said:“If indeed there was any truth in their claim, then they should be happy. Because that means that the nation is being developed around their ideas and that should excite them.”

He nonetheless dismissed the allegations that the NDC is bereft of ideas to govern the nation and thus it’s fond of always reproducing the policy programmes the opposition NPP puts out in its manifesto.

His comments come after the NPP insisted it will delay its manifesto ahead of the ruling party, claiming the NDC is fond of copying and embellishing their ideas and presenting them to the Ghanaian people as theirs.

But the NDC Chief Scribe popularly known as General Mosquito reacting to such comments said the NDC has the most original ideas among the various political parties in the country.

For him, they’ve concluded the manifesto and will soon put a finest document out that will engineer growth of the economy and spur development in the various sectors of the economy.

According to him, the NDC manifesto among other plans for the elections will soon be declared latest by the second week of July.

“We’ll only follow our game plan for the elections, nothing more nothing less” he dded.
