Highlife artiste, Lucky Mensah at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) rally in Cape Coast performed a song composed in honour of President Akufo-Addo and the party for their works since assumption of the highest office of the land.

Lucky Mensah who declared support for the NPP during the 2016 electioneering campaign following his assertion that the National Democratic Congress (NDC), failed to salvage the country from the shackles of its economic quagmire, threw shades at former President John Mahama as he expressed in the song that an ‘old man’ has been able to fix the mess created by a relatively young man.

Prior to the 2016 general elections, some leading members of the NDC told electorates not to vote for then Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo saying he is too old to govern the country effectively like then President John Mahama.

“The NPP says 72 years is good, that Nigeria has voted so we can also vote. Rebecca Akufo Addo needs to heed to Buhari’s wife’s advice and advise her husband, Akufo Addo accordingly. She [Rebecca] should tell Nana Addo that he is too old and cannot govern the nation like how President Mahama is governing the nation,” said NDC General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia.

But Lucky Mensah, overwhelmed by the performance of President Akufo-Addo has praised the 73-year-old in his latest song.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo says he is not as weak as people may think.
