The National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) F.F Anto has attributed the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) gross defeat in the December 7 polls to insolence and pride.

According to him, the misconduct of government appointees coupled with unfulfilled promises resulted in their defeat adding that Ghanaians were fed up with them.

He indicated that NPP worked assiduously in grabbing power and that Ghanaians also believed in their messages.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he said government appointees show of gross disrespect to Ghanaians has landed NDC in opposition now.

He indicated that NDC’s defeat is a lesson to all political parties advising politicians to take a cue from the December polls.

He further urged NPP members who will be appointed to work diligently by serving Ghana and desist from showing disrespect to Ghanaians who voted them into power.

‘Insolence led to the defeat of the NDC, they behaved as if Ghana belonged to them. NPP members who will be appointed should take a cue from the NDC’s defeat and desist from being insolent in their various offices, remember that power will not last forever. Omane Boamah behaved as if the whole world belonged to him, he was so disrespectful in his dealings with Ghanaians. Politicians should remember where they were before they were given power. We give thanks to God for being on our side and Ghanaians as well,’ he encouraged.

He advised NDC members to go to the drawing board to check where they went wrong indicating that Ghanaians are wise now and would not buy into gifts and monies doled out to influence their votes.
