Former Director of Political Affairs at the Presidency, Manaf Ibrahim has hinted it is time for him to serve Asawase Constituency and Ashanti region as a whole.

The parliamentary aspirant was relieved of his duties following internal party issues in the Asawase Constituency after he was reportedly unjustly treated by Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Addressing NPP supporter during his arrival at Kumasi International Airport on Tuesday, Manaf Ibrahim said, he is not perturbed by his termination at the presidency but will continue to serve the party to ensure that the party maintains it seats at the Asawase constituency.

“I will sacrifice my appointment to save the NPP seat at Asawase,” he said.

According to him, he is an indigene of NPP and will never do anything contrary with respect to what has happened.

He debunked rumors of contesting as an independent candidate following the unjust treatment by Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Manaf also called for calm among his supporters and urged them to rally behind the party to enable them to win the 2020 elections.

He gave thanks to Allah (God), President Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia for giving him the opportunity to serve as director of political affairs at the Vice president’s office for two years and nine months.

“Not everybody of my age will get the opportunity to work at the vice president’s office as director of political affairs.”

“Those who never believed I was the director for public affairs at the vice president’s office have been answered now,” he said.
