YEN.com.gh has sighted a post by controversial Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, revealing the biggest lesson he has learnt from his latest work.

According to an unofficial twitter account of Anas, the biggest lesson he has learnt is to never underestimate football.

The legendary investigative journalist allegedly made this revelation in a tweet over the weekend.

It is not very clear to YEN.com.gh what exactly Anas had in mind for making the revelation.

However, it is no news that his latest exposé, ‘Number 12’, caused a massive controversy when it was finally premiered on June 6, 2018, after a lot of publicity ahead of its premiere.

The video brought to light the shady and corrupt deals of some officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The former President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, in particular was captured in the exposé accepting an alleged amount of $65,000 as “gift” from supposed investors who had expressed interest in investing in Ghana football.

There were other officials including Eddie Doku, Saani Daara, referee Samuel Sukkah, match commissioners, and others who were all captured in the video accepting bribes for various reasons.

Consequently, Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned from his position as President of the GFA, and also from his various positions in international football.

He has vowed to fight Anas legally for bringing him such shame and reproach. It is believed that the controversies surrounding ‘Number 12’ are part of the reasons why Anas has learnt the biggest lesson of never underestimating football.
