Controversial activist, Kwame Asare-Obeng popularly known as A Plus, has stated that the ‘curse’ of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as domineering parties, must be broken by all means.

Ghana, he posited, is in dire need of a third force to move the country forward.

According to him, both the NDC and NPP are the cause of the country’s woes and setbacks due to their selfish interests.

Taking his turn on the ‘Bo Me Nkomo’ show hosted by Kwaku Sintim Minsa (KSM), A Plus stated that before either faction comes into power, members seemingly have immediate solutions to every problem overlooked by the ruling party while supporters believe the party can turn the fortunes of the country

However, once power is acquired, members, he intimated, become conformists as a result of the benefits as ruling government.

The outspoken musician tagged politicians as liars and hypocrites explaining that law makers start to make excuses for what they used to blame opposition once in power for.

Citing the Woyome case for instance, he said “The Woyome case was the order of the day for a very long time. Martin Amidu was the main person making a whole lot of noise about the prosecution. He has now been appointed Special Prosecutor. Woyome’s case has been adjourned indefinitely and now the NPP have gone quiet about the case.”

A Plus argued that irrespective of an individual’s political affiliation, Ghana comes first. He maintained that the country must move forward hence adviced party members to desist from “keep quiet and chop” attitude.

The ‘Mi De Be Bom’ singer shared encounters he has had with some NPP executives who have asked him to stop the criticism and enjoy the benefits that come with being a party member.

To him that is not the way to because if “I am given the whole of Bank of Ghana for free, I will still speak out whenever things go the wrong way.”

“These gimmicks by the dominated political parties must come to an end,” He continued.
