According to information gathered by Ghanacrusader.com, Afriyie has petitioned FIFA stressing that his removal from office by former Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi was unconstitutional.

Following Anas’ video which uncovered rot at the Ghana FA, the Government of Ghana is taking steps to dissolve the association.

However, the Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah and two FA officials Isaac Addo (General Secretary) and Kirt Okraku (Executive Committee Member) will travel to Zurich to meet FIFA over the current impasse on Thursday.

Ahead of the meeting, Afriyie, has swiftly petitioned the world governing body to reinstate him.
