DCE tells NDC foot soldiers to be patient

Antwi-Adjei-Nkwanta (Ash) Feb 2, GNA - The District Chief Executive for Atwima- Mponua, Mrs Theresah Adomako-Tawiah, has appealed to foot soldiers of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be more patient as the government worked to put the economy on the path of growth. Their sacrifices, hard work and dedication, which she said, helped to bring the party back into political power would be rewarded. She was addressing a group of the party's supporters at Antwi-Adjei-Nkwanta, a predominantly farming community in the district. Mrs Adomako-Tawiah asked them to continue to remain loyal and work tirelessly to wrest the Parliamentary seat of the area from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She encouraged them to go from house-to-house to tell the success story of the Mills Administration in its first year in office. They should be law abiding and avoid acts that are likely to create image problems for the NDC.

Mr Akwasi Twumasi, the Constituency Chairman, asked them to rally solidly behind the leadership to enable the party to retain power in election 2012. Madam Margaret Dufie, the Women Organizer, asked the women to form co-operatives to help them to obtain loans to expand their business activities.

Nana Kofi Gyabaku, a leading member of the party in the community, pledged that they would work hard for the NDC's electoral victory in the next general elections. 02 Feb 10
