Coronavirus: Bono region records first case

The Bono region has become the 13th out of the country’s 16 regions to record a case of the deadly Coronavirus.

The case in the Bono region according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) latest update was detected in the Jaman North District.

The Greater Accra region still leads with 2,579 COVID-19 cases.

The Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East remain the only regions in Ghana yet to record a case.

According to the Ghana Health Service, a total of 137,924 tests have been done so far.

Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has increased to 3,091.

This comes after 372 new cases were recorded from various parts of the country.

The GHS official website on May 7, 2020, states that the number of recovered persons has increased to 303 from the previous 294.

The death toll still stands at 18.

Central Region – 50

Upper East Region – 26
