Defending Champions Aduana Stars returned to winning ways in the Zylofon Cash Premier League after beating regional rivals Bechem United at the Ndoum Park in Elmina.

Abu Sadiq scored the only goal of the game as the struggling champions secured all three points in match day 14 of the Premier League.

After back to back defeats to Medeama SC and Karela United, the Ogya lads knew if they are to finish in a better position or defend their title then they needed to win.

Combining both continental football and the domestic league has taken a strain on the champions with games piled up to be cleared.

However, the two times Champions began the game on a good note despite playing away from home because of broadcast reasons.

Following waves and waves of attack on Bechem United, Aduana Stars secured that vital goal in the 34th minute when Abu Sadiq lashed into the back of the net.

Both sides huffed and puffed with Bechem desperately going for an equalizer as Aduana needed more goal to ensure victory was secured.

The game ended with the Champions gaining the bragging rights of the regional derby.
