Bugri Naabu tape saga: We’ll get to the bottom – Sammy Crabbe

The Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Crabbe has assured that they will investigate and fish out the person whose voice is on the secret tape claiming that the party’s Chairman and General Secretary are working to prevent flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo from becoming President.

“We shall get to the bottom of this because we are not going to let it be. I don’t want to be walking out there for the people in the party to think that I am a sellout, I am not a sellout. I want to find out who it is, the person must own up,” he fumed.

A voice on the secret tape allegedly that of the party’s Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu also said Sammy Crabbe was part of the group that wants Nana Addo to lose the 2016 elections.

Bugri Naabu has subsequently denied ever making such comments and condemned his detractors who are trying to make him look bad. The leadership of the NPP has announced that they will undertake a forensic investigation into the issue.

Speaking on Eyewitness News, Sammy Crabbe lamented that such allegation “goes to undermine the integrity of certain people,” in the party while insisting that no stone will be left upturned in order to unearth the author of the tape.

“We have a tape, there is a voice to it, it’s been denied. We want external help in determining whose voice is it so that we can exonerate every single person whose name has been mentioned there because we believe that nobody whose name has been mentioned on that tape has really done what is being claimed to have done,” Sammy Crabbe added.
