The Editor-In-Chief of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has indicated that Ghanaians are getting frustrated about the loss of jobs and harsh conditions in the country.

Mr. Pratt was reacting to the Budget Statement and Economy Policy which was read in Parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta on Wednesday, 15th, November, 2017.

”This format of budget Presentation was adopted around 1983 because we [Ghana] embarked on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) project, people were getting increasingly agitated about the losses of jobs and harsh conditions. The elites in conjunction with their foreign masters decided that budget would not be read in a traditional manner,” he told Radio Gold in an interview on Saturday, 18th, November, 2018.

Mr. Pratt stated that, ‘People are not able to relate to the budget and see how it directly affect them. And this is an act of deception. This enables the elites to carry on in a manner that confuses the people.”

”I am very uncomfortable with the format that we have adopted as oppose to the previous format which has dealt with the nitty-gritty of our lives to the things that has affected us negatively. This change is deliberate, deceitful and meant to confound the masses, “he underscored.
