Ato Forson hot over frivolous claims against McDan Group

Lawyers to McDan Group of Companies have descended heavily on the Minority Spokesperson on Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, demanding a retraction and an unqualified apology from him, for making claims that McDan Group of Companies was paid a judgement debt by the Government of Ghana.

According to the lawyers, neither the Chairman of the group nor any of its subsidiaries have taken the Government of Ghana to court for which judgement was paid, and that “Neither the CEO nor the company had received any form of money from the government as claimed by the Minority in Parliament.”

They also averred that on no account would they allow Ato Forson to drag McDan into politics so as to dent his hard-earned reputation as a successful businessman in the country and across the world.

“We are therefore requesting Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson to retract the statement and must have thoroughly carried out the investigation he claimed he wanted to make regarding payment of judgement debt by the Government before mentioning McDan.”
