A Deputy CEO for the Coastal Development Authority who will be in charge of the Central region, Mr. Emmanuel Affram Anim, has taken a swipe at individuals attacking President Nana Akufo-Addo over what his critics have termed as poor performance.

Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Kwabena Agyapong, he noted that, Ghana should have fast developed but due to the Kwashiokor economy managed under the former Mahama administration we have gone through serious challenges.

Kwashiokor is a form of malnutrition caused by protein deficiency in the diet, typically affecting young children in the tropics. The current administration he stated cannot use one and half years to repair the damages caused under former President John Dramani Mahama.

However, ‘’we have managed to roll out our flagship programmes including the free senior high school, the restoration of the nursing and teacher training allowances.

He [Nana Addo] has also managed to stabilize the erratic power situation, pay a huge percentage of the health insurance debt accumulated under the previous administration.

I will appeal to Ghanaians to have patience because the president will surely deliver on his campaign promises.’’

The three Development Authorities – Coastal Development Authority, Middle Belt Development Authority, Northern Development Authority – are tasked with the implementation of the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) – the Programme which will ensure the disbursement of the equivalent of $1 million per constituency per year, in fulfillment of President Akufo-Addo’s 2016 campaign pledge.

CEO of Accra-based radio station Samuel Atta-Mensah heads the Coastal Development Authority. Each of the Chief executives is being assisted by four deputies.
