The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen says there is no cause for alarm over the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) list since it is normal in every human society for a candidate not to get a 100% support from his or her constituents.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Nana Obiri Boahen mentioned that people will always agitate since all humans cannot belong to the same side.

He argued that the same DCE/MCE list has resulted in massive jubilation elsewhere with people sending congratulatory messages to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

“We are in a human society and we do not expect candidates to receive hundred percent support from the constituentS. However genuine concerns will be taken into consideration by the appointing authority and necessary actions will be taken,” he stated.

According to Nana Obiri Boahene, every stage is a learning process and such concerns are good for the growth a political party.
