The National Identification Authority (NIA) has confirmed it will extend the registration period for Ghana card in the Adentan municipality by another three days to allow for applicants who have yet to be captured to take advantage of the window period.

This comes as the original registration schedule in Adenta ends today, Saturday, 24 November 2018.

The NIA mass registration started in the Adentan Municipality on Monday, 5 November with 50,000 designated centres, however, some residents have raised concerns about the slow process of registration and also a frequent shortage of registration materials.

The situation has compelled the NIA to extend the registration period.

Acting Executive Director for the NIA, Professor Ken Attefuah confirmed the extension to Class News.
