Our client, a global commodity trading and processing company is currently looking for an efficient and proactive

Business Development Managerto help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

  • The successful candidate will help expand company’s clientele base, be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply effective sales strategy.
  • He/she will negotiate contract and analyze business profitability before engaging company trucks in that business. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets, industry trends and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s brand and services, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Managing company and client expectations
  • Building trusted and long-term relationships with clients
  • Motivating team members to exceed expected goals
  • Developing ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty.

Required Skills or Experience

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Sales or any relevant field
  • MBA or MSC in logistics management or General Economics is desired.

Experience

Proven work experience of at least 5 years as a business development manager, sales

manager or a relevant role

Requirements

  • Creative and proactive approach towards challenges
  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years as a business development manager, sales
  • executive or a relevant role
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Available to be on call 24/7
  • Possess physical ability to travel long hours and withstand harsh weather conditions.
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, influence and build customer relationships at all levels.
  • Must be well-established with customer contacts and new business leads
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
