Ebola awareness forum and diabetes screening underway

In the wake of the recent cholera outbreak, the Ebola virus epidemic and ever increasing cases of hypertension, diabetes and other lifestyle diseases which are contributing to deaths under the age of forty, it has become necessary to sensitize the public on healthy living.

XFM 95.1, an Ebola awareness radio station in collaboration with The Sangy Foundation is organizing a health sensitization programme on Ebola and Cholera as well as a free medical screening of diabetes, hypertension and breast cancer.

There will be health practitioners to offer free medical consultation on any medical issue.

The event will be held on 30th August, 2014 at the XFM premises in Osu, near Blue Gate from 6am to 12pm. As part of the programme, we will have chiropractic experts from Nova Chiropractic Health Centre who will also screen participants for the proper functioning of the spine and nervous system.

We hope to equip the public with necessary information and practices that will curb the current cholera outbreak, prevent the occurrence and spread of any Ebola virus in the country and encourage a healthy living culture by Ghanaians.

Kwaku David
