The Country Director of the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada, Madam Gifty Akosua Baka, has presented drugs to the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana Clinic at Jisonayili in theTamale Metropolis on Wednesday.

Madam Baka said the presentation was CCFC’s modest contribution towards the health of children and families in the area.

Mr Emmanuel Frimpong, the Programme Coordinator of the Gumani Child Care and Family Helper Program of MarKaz Al Bishara, they have made a conscious effort to provide the clinic with medicines so that the children will have the necessary support from the clinic as a first point of call.

“Fortunately the clinic is situated very close to the cluster of schools so that the children will not have to travel to get medical attention.”

Madam Hajia Katuma Alhassan, the Midwife of the Clinic, thanked CCFC and Markaz al Bishara for the drugs.

Parents’ Committee Chairman of the area, Rev. Moses Yahaya, said he was grateful to CCFC and Markaz for the support they have been providing and recounted other forms of support the community had received including the school block, rain water harvesting tanks, sponsorships for many of the children and regular supply of drugs.
