Yoghurt sellers in the Takoradi Metropolis Monday embarked on a sit-down strike in protest of what they say is the introduction of some subtle price increase by Fan Milk Ghana Limited, the manufacturers of Yoghurt.

Some of them who were spotted by Empire News selling in defiance of their leaders were immediately reigned in and asked to immediately desist or risk their products being shared to bystanders.

The protest will continue till Friday, October 5, the organisers said.

Simeon Akubillah one of the yoghurt sellers on the street to demonstrate against Fan Milk expressed his frustration to Empire News’ Emmanuel Ohene-Gyan.

“We are fighting for our 70pesewas, without the maintenance of the 70 pesewas we won’t return to work. Even it if it’s one year we will still wait,” he said.
