The Methodist Bishop of the Tarkwa diocese, Rt. Rev. Thomas Christian Bafo, whose daughter disappeared while on admission at the Tarkwa Government Hospital is accusing hospital authorities of negligence.

His daughter, 39-year-old Mrs. Christiana Essel was admitted at the hospital for a fibroid operation but mysteriously disappeared from the hospital on March 8, 2016.

According to Rev. Bafo, the nurses on duty did not even notice his daughter had left the hospital until the family drew their attention to it.

He said they then reported the matter to the police and begun a search for his daughter who is mentally unsound.

The Methodist Bishop added that after vigorous search, her daughter was found on March 13, 2016 in Tarkwa also in the Western region.

The circumstances leading to her disappearance to Tarkwa, Rev. Bafo said still remains a mystery but he blames the nurses on duty for not doing their work well.

He also bemoaned the poor security arrangement at the Tarkwa Government hospital and promised to build a fence wall around the hospital to prevent such an unfortunate incident from recurring.

Rt. Rev. Thomas Christian Bafo also expressed his profound gratitude to the police for reuniting his missing daughter with the family.
