The disqualified presidential nominee of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Madam Akua Donkor has hinted that she will wholeheartedly accept to be Cocobod new boss if appointed by the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to join his government.

She added that she bears no grudges against Nana Addo and that she will gladly work with him to push Ghana forward.

According to her, she never accepted any appointments from the outgoing President John Dramani Mahama but will accept Nana’s appointment to diffuse perception that she hates the President-elect.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, she pledged not to insult the President-elect again adding that she does not hate him but only expresses her opinion on issues.

‘I would accept any position he would offer me wholeheartedly, especially the COCOBOD boss position because of my farming background to improve agriculture, to help farmers increase their yield. If I reject his offer, people would say I have grudges against him. I don’t hate him, he is also a Ghanaian, just like I have adopted the outing President Mahama as my son, I have accepted Nana Addo as my brother as well,’ she said.

She threatened to contest the December elections at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Hague, Netherlands because she felt the election was rigged and that she was been vilified by NPP supporters but decided to let things go for peace to prevail.

Madam Akua Donkor suggested to Nana Addo to organise a press conference to enable her publicly endorse him because she has accepted him as his brother.

‘He should organise a press conference so that I endorse him, because if I invite the journalists, they will not honour my invitation, and even if they come, I don’t have the resources,’ she stated.

She called on Nana Addo to talk to his supporters to desist from witch-hunting members of National Democratic Congress (NDC).
