Gov't releases list of health institutions for medical care

The Ministry of Health has informed the general public to seek medical care at some designated hospitals following the strike action by members of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA).

The Public Relations Unit of the Ministry said the quasi-government health institutions are still receiving patients for medical care. The statement reads:

The Public is thereby reminded that apart from the Public facilities, the following hospitals are working in full capacity and they are advised to seek for medical care or services in these hospitals.

Medical Doctors in these facilities which are Quasi Government Health Institutions are NOT ON STRIKE.

- Ghana Commercial Bank Clinic- Kantamanto

- Graphic Clinic- Adabraka

- University of Ghana Medical School Clinic - Korle Bu

- Kwame Nkrumah University Hospital - Kumasi

- Cape Coast Hospital-Cape Coast

- University of Development Studies Clinic -Tamale

The Ministry is mindful of its mandate of creating quality and accessible healthcare for the people of this Country, for this reason, the public is advised to desist from adopting self-medication.
