America-for-Ghana screens 290 people at Nkwanta

Nkwanta (V/R), Feb. 8 GNA- A total number of 290 people has been screened for dental related diseases in the Nkwanta District. The exercise was organized by America for Ghana, an American organization at the instance of Nkwanta Area Development Programme (ADP) of World Vision International.

In an interview with the GNA, Mr. Nicholas Ahadjie, Nkwanta ADP Manager, said the exercise was very helpful to the people because the district hospital could not offer such medical service, since the dental block was still under construction.

He stated that about 216 children were treated of various dental diseases and a total number of 74 cases involving tooth extraction were handled.

Mr. Ahadjie said the exercise was going to be an annual affair adding that the organization would support the hospital to complete the dental block early.
